How to link local files in your to-do list

Turn a plain task list into a launch pad: attach the actual document, folder or app behind each item so one click opens exactly what you need.

Why link files

A to-do item like 'Finish Q3 report' is easier to act on when the report file is one click away, not buried in three folders.

The Little Beaver Planner stores local file paths next to each task, so nothing is uploaded and the links keep working offline.

Attach a path

Create a task and choose 'Link file' or 'Link folder'. Paste or browse to the path on your PC.

You can link a single document, a whole project folder, or even another app's executable.

Work through the day

As you tick items off, click the link to jump straight to the work. When the task is done, the link stays for reference.

Because paths are local, the list is portable: move the folder with the planner file and the relative links still resolve.
